Two hours after the time fixed for his marriage yesterday a bridegroom turned up at St Mary’s Jloman Catholic Church, Kentish Town, and found that his bride Jiad returned home. The ceremony should have taken place at 10 n.m. and the bride, a priest and a registrar were at the church prompt to the hour.. Time passed, but there was uo appearance of the bridegroom. At 11 o’clock the registrar left, and shortly afterwards the distressed bride also went borne. Then about midday tbe bridegroom appeared at tbe eburch. and found no one there, and proceeded to the office el the registrar, where he announced that ho had come ti be married, lie was sent to hud the church officials, fresh aiangomonts were made for the, bride to be present, and the postponed ceremony took place in the afternoon. After apologising to all concerned, the bridegroom told bis bride, who was now smiling, that he bad been so busy in bis shoo that lie could not. got tut 'it and in the rush forgot that he was to be married at 10 o’clock.
