’.Received this day at 11.15 a.in.) CHICAGO, July 13. The low level price of wheat which is now hovering around a dollar a bushel, is causing consternation among farmers who expect a bumper crop this tear. A movement has started among grain interests in Chicago which is the premier wheat market, to induce persons of means throughout the country to buy wheat for future delivery, in the hope of bolstering up tile market and encouraging farmers. A publicity campaign also has been started to eat more bread and buy more flour. It is understood a committee will visit Ford and ask him to purchase several million bushels of wheat, pointing out that his automobile .distributing agencies depend upon agricultural interests. Large grain operators while eager to support any movement, however artificial, that may strengthen the wheat market, admit the position of wheat is hopeless for the present season, until supplies are depleted !>v a foreign demand.
