Deaths reported in the period were five in Otago and Southland. Twenty-five pneumonie eases are in the hospital. Chemists and other authorities report tin abatement of the disease. OUTBREAK AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, July 1«. Fifteen per cent of the children of the Wellington City and suburban schools have been absent in the last month.
