The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The second reading of the Samoa Amendment Bill was agreed to and the measure was referred to the Statutes Revision Committc. The Chattels Transfer Amendment and the Judieauue Amendment Acts, tho Interpretation and Animals Protection and the Game Amendment Bills were passed. Speaking on the Judicature Amendment Bill, the Hon Samuel expressed the hope that the Hot eminent would consider the relieving of judges of some, of their work by the reiiistitutiou of a District Court and passing on certain duties to registrars.

The Council rose at 3.30 p.m. till Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. Mr T. W. Rhodes gave notice of the introduction of the Thames llar.wir Board Empowering Bill. The Harbours Amemlmeii: Bill was read a second time, pro forma, and referred to a Special Committee. The Acts Interpretations and Judicature Amendment Bills were received from the Legislative Council and read a first time. The debate on the Budget was resumed by Mr If. Holland and continued bv Messrs Williams, McKay, Moiuieth, T. W. Rhodes, Smith, Lee, McLeod, Horn, Langstonc, and Corrigan. The adjournment of the debate was moved by Mr Nash, and the House rose at 12.20 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Monday.
