The Very Rev Dean Thomas M’Kenna died at New Plymouth on Monday, aged sixty. He was born in Ireland and came to New Zealand in ISBS. He ministered at Alasterton, llawora. Patea, and Pahiatua. and alter being twenty-six years at Pahiatua, was appointed to the charge ot Newtown, Wellington, coming last year to New Plymouth, to succeed the late Dean James Af’Kt-nna. Ho was taken seriously ill in Sepienilsor last, which precluded active work, and hopes held out lor his recovery were not, fulfilled.
