The Prime Minister described the settlement of the American debt as the first steji in the direction ot solving world problem-. He was convinced lto action the British Government had over taken had so greatly helped America to understand Britain. It made America more willing than she had over been to work with Britain for the regeneration of the world. Regarding the Allied debts, he said Britain’s offer made in .January, having been refused. Britain*' hands were left free to deal with these matters in tuo wav she deemed best.
