GOTHENBURG. July 3. The Australians were unplaced in the final of the 400 metres relay race, which resulted:—Finland 1. Sweden 2. Norway Time. 12 3-osee«.. which is 2sees outsde the world’s record. Germany was disqualified, after deadheat i nc: with Finland lor first, because her team over-carried the baton. MacMillan ran well and was placed eighth in the final of the 1500 metres which Vide (Sweden) won in 237 secs.
