FIRE AT GREY.
CO NSII)ER AB L K DAMA fi E. [bv telegraph—pep. press association.] GREYMOUTH, July 3. A fire early this morning occurred in sample rooms on Maw hern Quay, and tie* stock was destroyed. Mayfair drapery shop below (owned hv McGruer and Co.) was flooded with water and partially damaged by the flames . . The loss on the stock is estimated at £3.000. The building was owned by Keith. Bros., and was insured for £1,9.30 in the North British. The loss is about covered. Insurances on the drapery stock are unavailable. . " (The scene is next to Millner s jeweller’s shop on Upper Mawhere Quay, on •l corner, opposite Bruhn’s butchery.
