Competition was fairly steady through,ut the sale and prices showed an mt[irovi'iiicnt per hundred on the last ixt lire. ( hole:' *-x beef made from 30- „ 31s per hundred, while medium and lighter sorts made Irom 21s to Heiler heel of which I here wus a fair sprinkling, averaged from 20s to 25s per hundred. The quality ol the boot carded was goad throughout. Vealers made to 91. No sheep were yarded. Messrs \V. .1 effries and Co. made the following sales: —-
