IRISH AFFAIRS
AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION IRISH POLITICS. (Received this dav at 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, Juno 25. The “Times'’ Dublin correspondent says pessimists in Ireland declare the civil war between Free Staters and Republicans was a more curtain raiser, preluding an armed struggle .between farmer and labourer. This is probably a gloomy forecast, but a fierce political struggle, attended by strikes and minor disturbances, is inevitable. Both sides are organising for the elections. The farmers’ leaders profess the utmost confidence. Some neutrals believe the confidence is justified hut fear the farmers will abuse their victory. The labour leader is a member of the Dail, a Scotsman of moderate views, hut unlike Larkin, not possessing Larkin’s influence. Dublin should he Labour's stronghold, but divisions have crept in between the Lnrkinii.es and Do Valcriiites. A strong farmers’ Conservative I’artv is likelv to uri-e in the next Dail.'
