An inquiry was held here regarding the inconsistent running of Kilbird in the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club's meeting. After exhaustive evidence, the decision was that there were nut sufficient grounds for the stewards to take action against anybody concerned. An inquiry was also held into allegations that Harrier's jockey in the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s Final Handicap bandied his mount in an improper manner. It was decided that there was no justification for the al--1 ega t ion.
