HON. MICHEL INTERVIEWS MINISTER. Hon. H. L. Michel M.L.C. has telegraphed tu tho County Chairman as lows:"Export of Rimii to Australia. Have interviewed Minister in regard to the restrictive regulations and urged that rimii should be placed on the same footing as white pine, or that the regulations curtailing the export should be suspended for year, and the position again reviewed at end of term. Government, however, is rigid in determination not to alter policy. I then urged that till permits to export which have not heen used should he brought forward ultimately. He agreed that this was a reasonable request and said it might be done. As the quantity, I understand, is considerable this should remove the difficulty for some time to oome. Suggest you publish this for general informatiom”^^^
