A resolution was passed expressing regret at the ret it emeu tof Major 11 a ri'is. The Addrexs-in-Roply debate was continued by Hons. G. M. Thompson and Triggs and adjourned on the motion of Sir T. .Mackenzie. The Council rose at 1.30 p.tn. till 2.30 on Friday. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.rn. The House agreed to a motion By the Premier that it meet for the transaction of business at 7.30 o’clock on Monday nights. The debate on the Addies.s-in-I’oply was continued by Messrs Veitcli. Hawken. Sullivan. Masters. Jlon. Stewart, and MellvritU*. During the course of hts speech. Mr Sullivan moved an addition to Mr AYilford’s amendment affirming that legislation should he passed this session enacting proportional representation, and the abolition of the Legislative Council. 'l’lie House rose at 10.52 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Friday.
