Sir Janies Allen unveils the sculpture at the opening of the Garden of Memory at Les Quesnoy on the 15th. July. He unveils on the following day a tablet in Amiens' cathedral in honour of the New Zealanders who participated in some of the battles. FLIGHT TO NORTH POLE. (Received this day at 9.45 a.in.) PARIS, June 21. Lieutenant. Baker leaves France in the summer of 1924, to establish headquarters at North Spitsbergen, from which he. will attempt to fly to the North Poie. He believes he can cover the return flight of 1,437 miles in twenty-one hours. Four biplanes will be taken, two for the flight and two to bo ready at the base to assist, the fliers if summoned. Ail are equipped with wireless, RETURNING HOME. (Received this day at 9.25 n.m.) CHRISTIANIA, June 21. The ’‘"Affcenpost” states that Captain Amundsen is returning by the schooner Holmes and does not intend to seek the schooner Maud.
