NEW LADY M.P.
WELCOME BV COMMONS. LONDON. June 7. Petite and demure. Mrs Bhilipson, the new lady member, and a former actress, took her seat in the House of Commons amid cheers from the Conservative benches. She was introduced by Limit.-Colonel ’Leslie Wilson (Chief Whip), and by the Solicitor-General. She wore a dark navy blue frock, with a lace collar and a broad-brimmed black hat. She smiled pleasantly as she advanced to the lloor of the House, where she bad previously held a sort of unofficial reception. While standing at the bar waiting to take the oath, member after member of the Conservative Party came and congratulated her on her victory. Modi banter was exchanged by the parties while she was signing the roll. Mr W. M. Pringle (Liberal), alluding to the popularity of the new lady member, called to Lady Aslor: “(beet' up, Nancy.” __
