ALLAHABAD, April ’2O A lob violence is reported from Poona as a result of the rumoured kidnapping of hovs for burial alive at the Alulshi Roth dam of the Tata HydroElectric Company. The boys were to he sacrifices to propitiate the local deity, which was believed to have been incensed by the construction of the dam. The situation is now quiet. Last January part of the dam in course of construction collapsed, burying many workers. Twelve were dead when dug out. It is evidently this event which led to the belief that the local deity was angry.
