Lady Seal appeared at an At Home recently wearing a far coat cut by one of London’s Court Furriers. It was a magnificent garment with its Ttussian skunk collar. A new fishing reef was recently discovered off Otago Heads, and the lucky finder landed some big hauls, states tlx- “Daily Times.” Then one fc ggv morning another fishing hunt dropped unawares on this new reef, and when the log lilted the original finder of the reef discovered that his was not the only boat there. Ihe news spread through the fishing ileet, and many boats made good hauls. This newlv-discovered reef is evidently of shelving formation with sharp projecting edges of rock, which sever the anchor ropes of fishing boats. Eight boats are said to have lost anchors last week, tlie sharp rock edges chafing through the anchor ropes, thus cutting the boats adrift while fishing operations were going on.
