Thousands of tons of lava lias been emitted by the main crater, while five new craters have appeared. 'The lava stream, three hundred and fifty yards wide, is advancing three hundred yards an hour, threatening the town of Lingualcisn. 'The latter. as well as Ca-tiglione. has I eon (ompletely evacuated, die inhabitants fleeing with their portable belongings. When the latest advices were received the molten stream was only three thousand leet from Ca.stiglione. which is feared will he completely obliterated. FURTHER PARTICULAR.-?. EON In >N. duo.- is. Reuter’.- Naples entro.-pondeiil -ays several eruptions were preceded by loud explo-ions in the northern part ol Mount Etna.
