Following on a series of postponements, tlio Governor of the city has announced that Constantinople will bo dry ns from Friday. The decision Ims caused consternation, and it is doubted if the Turkish police will be able to enforce the decree. .Many holders of liyjuor stocks have not yet made the dodurations demanded, but re-export will be allowed. Olio 'hundred establishments will remain open for Allied troops exclusively. The decision involves the loss of half a million sterling to the Debt Commission, winch the Turkish Government is hound to make tip.
