westlaxd SUB-UNION. The Sub-Union met on Monday evening at 8 o’clock. Present—Messrs F. McGregor (Chair), D. R. Dowell, A. Cutbush, Lynn, McCullough, Aldridge, Laing, Sellers, Tomlinson, Bishop, Breeze, Bain, Gilford, Amos Dowell, llowat, Xeilscn, and Ave Dowell. The minutes were confirmed and correspondence outward approved. The Judicial Committee reported having ordered a third, grade player to stand down for one month for using obscene language. Approved.
The follow ing matches were set down for next Saturday, with referees. SENIORS. Kiwis v. Hari Uari at Hokitika, at 3 p.m. —Mr A. Cutbush.
United v. Kumara. at Ktimara, at 3 p.m.—Air T. B. Giilooly. Excelsiors v. Kokatahi, at Kokatahi, at 3 p.m.- Air A. Sumner. JUNIORS. Arahura. v. Boss. at Arn liu ra.—ARIL Dowell. Excelsiors v. Kiwis, at Hokitika, at 1.30 p.m. -Mr W, Wilson. Kokatahi v. Kami, at Ilium.- Mr H. AI. Lynch. Tiie I'clerc'."' reports ol last Saturday's matches were approved. The Borough Council wrote, asking that hotter supervi-iun he exercised in connection with the pavilion, following a complaint by the caretaker of Cass Square. - Received and resolved tha I AL Bishop he appointed to control tlm pavilion. U was resolved that Air Bishop he authorised to repair the damaged seats. Air Ar<Culloiigh moved that a management committee he formed to consist of .Messrs F. McGregor, 1). R. Dowell, L. Aldridge. AI. Houston. J. Stalford, Treasurer ami Secretary, to control the Union's business. Seconded by Air Lynn and after considerable discussion agreed to by nine votes to eight.
It was resolved that the match Westland v. West (Last he played at ITokitnia on Saturday, June 23rd for tiie Diliman Shield. The Rules Committe are to meet rn Thursday at 8 p.m.
The .Management: Committee will meet every Monday at 8 p.m., the delegates to be called together at the discretion of the Management Committee.
