AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. GERMANS SHOOT FRENCH. PARIS, June 11. The shooting of two Frenchmen bv three Germans in a street at Dortmund lias aroused great anger in France. One message states the shooting followed a street brawl between soldiers and civilians; but the Louden “Daily Tc.egraph’s” Dussoldorf correspondent says two French non-coms, were walking in the street at 10.30 at night, when they were attacked by Germans armed'with revolvers, who opened fire killing one Frenchman outright with a bullet through the head. The other was wounded, and lived only a few moments. Other Germans nearby raised an alarm, but too late to catch the assassins. Their descriptions, however, were given, and it should he possible to identify them. It is reported France will accept Britain’s plan, if it is a substantial one deserving Allied unity, but opposes Britain acting as arbitrator. If tbe Ruhr resistance is stopped, France will negotiate. BERLIN, June 10. Chancellor Cuno says tbe Treaty allows for easing reparations, and arbitration was suggested first by tbe Reparations Commission. Germany win pay as soon as tbe demands come within her capacity. He added that Germany will not try to stop the Ruhr resistance. France bad shot 50 imprisoned 450, and deported -i0,0(K). Germany demands possession of tbe Saar, Rhine and Ruhr areas.
