THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
Maintaining A Goon Name. The desire of the whole community is that tho returned soldier who suffers from disability traceable to his war service shall be treated not merely with justice, but with generous sympathy. It has been claimed—the statement has been endorsed by prominent members of the R.S.A.—that in no other part of the Empire have returned soldiers 'been accorded better treatment than in New Zealand. That is a distinction which the Dominion wishes most strongly to maintain. —Christchurch Pi-ess.
