The death occurred yesterday afternoon at Westport, of Air Frank McLean, a well-known Buffer pioneer, at the ripe age of 83 years. Deceased about. 40 years ago was a Member of Parliament for the Buffer, and was the father of Mr Charles McLean, the wellknown Buffer representative and All Black footballer.

Mr A. J. ITarrop, M.A., of the Christchurch “Press” staff is on a visit to the district prior to leaving for Home next month. In the old Country he will continue his educational studies, and later return to the Dominion.
