AMUSEMENTS.

“GREATER THAN LOVE,” THURSDAY. The outstanding feature of “Greater tlian Love,” which will lie seen at the Princess Theatre on Thursday, is its message. Like a heaeon-light shining into and exposing recesses of sham, deceit and evil, the h’aitli of the Mother in the play transcends all loves—the love of self, the love of dross and the love of love. For the "miracle” that regenerates in "Greater than Love” is Faith, the faith of a simple, wise old lady who has experienced and emerged from the travail of the desires of the flesh and whoso creed is belief in this inherent and enduring goodness of all. In this uplifting symphony in which the spiritual note is convincingly triumphant Louise Glaum appears as the unregenerate. the unbeliever whose heedlessness and selfishness disappear before a great love which, in turn, gives way to I lie “Greater than Love” element personified by frail Miss Gertrude Claire, the mother, and which ij shown to he faith. Mahlon Hamilton plays the leading male role, in the C. Gardner Sullivan story and lends sympathetic support to Miss Glaum's brilliant performance. The latest Graphic, a beautifud scenic entitled “With the Governor General at Chatham Islands, and a Patlio comedy “Tears to Come” will also l>e screened.
