The text of the Chester concession granted bv the Turkish Government to the American Chester Company, shows that tho American company contemplates an expenditure ultimately totalling four hundred million pounds (Turkish) The expenditure will he for the building of 2409 miles of railways in Anatolia, through the Mosul oil-holds. All the mineral and petroleum exploitation rights for 99 years have been "ranted to the American company, over an area of 20 kilometres wide. on either side of the projected railway line. Turkish subjects will have the right to subscribe half the company’s stock, ■uni the Turkish Government, aside from various taxes, will receive 30 per cent, of the company’s profits, after nil expenses, interest, amortization, anil a 12 per cent, dividend are paid.
