ACCUSED AN IMMIGRANT. SYDNEY, May 30. The youth Leonard Henry Lovett, who was arrested in connection with the death of the child Cnrratt, has been remanded on a charge of murder. The police evidence stated that tho accused is an English immigrant. Ho arrived in August last. \Vhen arrested. ho made a statement, allegedly admitting that he had enticed the child, which, owing to its long, fair hair, ho believed was a girl, into tho bush, and that, in order to stop tho boy from crying, ho had pressed his hands over its nose and mouth. When the child failed to answer questions, the accused said ho became frightened and ran away. compromise sanctioned. SYDNEY, May The Court has sanctioned the Pastoral Finance Association shareholders’ compromise.
