Tho lull team must be sent in with each entry. A narrow escape from a very serious injury happened near the wharf opposite the Rost Office this morning, when two men named AY. Hutchings and J. Woods were engaged in stocking timber on tho skids. They had stacked one tier some five minutes before and were engaged on a second one when the first one came down with a crash. Hutchings had his head bent down and the timber struck him on the head and neck, giving him a heavy shako and grazing the skin in places. AVoods was struekabout the knees which lost some of their skin. Both men were bruised considerably, but they came out of it very luckily, as much more serious result.-. could easily have happened.
