Air Brute explained that dependants ol soldiers will not sull'er through the dispute with soldiers’ organisations, and adds that Government at no time had departed from the policy fit prefcl iice to soldiers, provided other things were equal. Soldiers may criticise, hut they have no right to dictate to the Government. AGED AIETIIUDIST DIES. ADELAIDE, AL.y 28. Basil Archer, Tasmanian delegate to the .Methodist Conference, aged eighty three, died suddenly as the result of a heart attack. He had attended the annual general conferences for over thirty years.
