FARMER. FOUND DEAD. PALMERSTON N., May 23. Mi- J. J. Lynch, fanner, 37 years of age, a resident of the district for .'JO years, was found dead to-day on Ins farm property at C'alyton. The deceased had been absent since Sunday, when he had intimated an intention to his family, who are living in Palmerston. North, to come in by car after shooting some rabbits. Pie failed to arrive or return to the farmstead, so a seaicb party was organised yesterday. The body, with a guunshot wound in the chest, was found one and a half miles from the house, on some rising ground. The deceased was a member of the Pohangina County Council for the past three years, in which district, he also owned a farm. IPe leaves a widow and a married daughter. The inquest will be held to-morrow.
