There is a fair inquiry for finest huttor, though the market generally remains quiet. Official quotations are: - New Z: aland. salted, linest 112 s lo 1-lOs and up to MS’s, unsalted 170 sto 152 s and up to lots; other qualities. 118 sto 110 s. Australian, finest salted 110 sto 110 s, unsalted 138 sto 112 s, other qualities 120 s to Ills ; Argentine 120 s to 1325. Danish 151 sto 156 s par ew l. CHEESE. The market is steady. Quotations are : New Zealand, coloured and white 90s to 98s: Australian, coloured 90s to 9-ls. whito 02s, to 9-1 s per ewt. Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived tlii< week per ».s. T’ort Adelaide, Pakelia. and Port Curtis. hemp. The Manila market is dull, and prices lower. .1 grade Alay-July shipments sold at £l2 15s. G grade is quoted at £35 10s. The output, from January I to May 711 1 was 510,000 hales, against 386.000 for the same period last year. Stocks in Manila on April 10th were 130,000 bales, against 238,000 last year. The quantity in London was 7915 hales against 21,701. The New Zealand market is dull. Nominal values are:—High points £l2. fair £3l. Mav-.Julv shipment. I ll FIT. About 300.0'M cases of Au-irali.in and New Zealand were discharged during this week, while there is also a large quantity of American still available. Prices are> slightly hotter than I last week. The Armagh fruit, which t is now being disposed of. is in excel- j lent condition and prices are well up . to expectations.
