Mr McNeil], in the House of Commons, said in regard to Russia, lie had already promised to extend tho time limit mentioned in his Note, to enable Krassin to connnunicato with his Government if ho desired to do so. Beyond that promise lie could not go. Tin position was that after Krassin hau seen Lord Curznn, lie, should have the opportunity of asking his Government whether it would accept our terms, and no undertaking could be given that tho Note would not be put in oi>eration during the recess. Mr MacDonald protested that the impression gained from Tuesday’s debate was tliat before there was a definite rupture the matter would again bo submitted to the House. Sir Baldwin replied that the Executive must have a free hand and could not I>o precluded in its action, merely because the House was not sitting. RUSSIANS CONFER.
