The Annual Chrysanthemum Show of the Hokitika Chrysanthemum Society to he held in All Saints’ schoolroom to-morrow promised to provide a splendid show of blooms. Great interest is being taken in the fixture, and all concerned are working hard to ensure its success. The cookery, sweets, vegetable and work-stalls are fully stocked and will add greatly to the pleasure and profit of those, who attend. At a meeting of the Buller Rugby Union held on Saturday evening, the Rival Club notified that it would take no part in Sunday football. Alter discussion, during which it was pointed out that it, would he impossible to complete the senior fixtures unless the town teams were prepared to play an odd game in the country on a Sunday, it was decided to call a special general meeting of the Union for Saturday next, Alav |9lh.. at 7 p.m., for the purpose of discussing the advisability of enforcing hack Sunday so tar as the senior fixtures were concerned.
