IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

The Prime Minister lias received the following telegram from Air Boiiar bnw, through his Excellency the Go-Ternor-Genera 1: “With respect to mv telegram regarding the Imperial Conference and in view of the groat importance of the subjects to he discussed, particularly foreign relations and defence, I would like to urge that you should come to London this autumn if you possibly can. I feel very strongly that the conference would benefit from your wide experience and knowledge, and apart from this the absence of New Zealand’s Prime ‘Minister cannot but detract from its representative character. ’ “I propose to convene Parliament earlier than X first intended,” states the Prime Alinister, “with the object of giving honorable members an opportunity of the positions regarding the coming Empire Economic Conference.” -
