SAFETY FOR YOUII ESTATE. No. 30—Advances to Avoid Loss. Many beneficiaries of estates have bad cause to lie thankful during the past year that their affairs were under tlio management of tho State-guaranteed Public Trust Office. Business people know well that tlio conditions have been extremely unfavourable for the realisation of assets. Heavy losses have occurred in forced sales. Happily dependants in estates administered by the Public Trust Office have in many eases been safeguarded against such loss. This year's official report mentions that in many cases, if estates had been compelled to find money for tho payment ol death duties and the liquidation of urgent liabilities, they must, have done so at the. cost, of a serious loss of capital. The financial strength of the Public Trust Ofnco has enabled it to make advances to estates in suitable eases, and thus conserve them until conditions have improved for realisation. For full information apply to the Public Trustee, Wellington, or to MR T. R. SAYWKLL, District Public*.Trustee, Greymouth. A representative of tho Office is in attendance at Hokitika on Thursdays and Fridays in each week. _
