The attendance at the Soldiers’ Clun euchre tournament on Thursday even-, ing at Stow’s rooms was very satisfactory, considering the counter attractions. The play was much enjoyed by those present. The prizes were award, ed as follows:—Ladies’ prize l.tin oi biscuits (presented by Mrs Butler) to Mrs S. Wilson; gentleman’s prize (tin of tea presented byMr A. Parlchill) to Mr G. A. Lakin. Consolation prizes presented by Messrs Lynn and Lawn were won by Mrs Singer and Mr Goodfellow. Supper -was served subsequent to the presentation of the prizes. The tournament will be continued next Thursday, when the principal prizes will be presented by Miss Maiidl and Mr G. Lakin, and at the close of the contest a musical hour will he passed.
