Messrs AVard and Keller, represent, ing the Church Committee, explained the scheme in mind and after a general decision, on the motion of the two gentlemen, it was resolved to proceed with the work. A capable working foreman is available to tako charge of the stone work. The stone will be drawn from Rinut Flat, and dressed. The matter of general arrangements was left to the Committee, and it was further resolved that on the occasion of the visit of Archbishop Julius in about two months’ time, to ask his. lordship to lay the foundation stone of the new church, the Committee to persevere steadily* with the work of erection. A'cry cordial votes of thanks were passed to the A ioat*, Mr AA ard (layreader and choirmaster), and the Church officers, and Sunday School teachers, for their good work during the year. It was stated that in a few months’ time a Curate would he availaide to assist in the Church work of the district. The matter of a bazaar was deferred sine die, hut other measures would he taken. -Miss Davies (organist.) and Mr AA’ard (choirmaster) were invited to arrange for a monthly organ recital during the winter season.
