April 25 In the Cooper ease, wherein Daniel Richard and Martha Elizabeth Cooper a,; charged with the murder of an iiv fain child entrusted to their care, further evidence was taken. This evidence was called under the Crimes Act for the purpose oi having the depositions sworn, forwarded to the Supreme Court. Dr McLaurin, Government Analyst, gave evidence as to having examined the articles in the exhibits produced, and also the nature of the contents of various bottles found on the premises of the male accused. In connection with the charge as to unlawful detention of the child, Jugo l.upi, a witness named Barnnto, called. said l.upi was at Isianil Bay, not .joliiisoiiviile, at several of the dates mentioned in the court.
