Kara Kenutl. one of the most active leaders of the Party of Union and Progress, lias announced that, owing to a misinterpretation of the Party's action in offering to support the People’s Party, they now propose to abstain from the elections altogether, adding: “This is apparently what is wanted of it-.’’ TURKEY WANTS A WORTHY PLACE. lILLORAI)E, April 22. Ishniet Pasha, interviewed on route to Lausanne, said that Turkey was disposed to make concessions if the Allies evinced their goodwill. Ishmet continuing said : “Rut if the Turks find at Lausanne the same opposition as the last time, we shall immediately leave the Conference, which act will mean, not only the beginning of enmity, hut very likely the commencement of a new war. AVe are desirous of eoiieluding peace, but we want a worthy peace.’’
