ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co report ; At the above sale yesterday our entry consisted of -12 bead of cattle and 79 fat sheep and lambs. The usual buyers were present, but competition for beef was not very brisk, prices realized being slightly lower than those of the previous sale. F'at sheep and lambs sold well. Wtl sold on account of a client 26 fat ewes at 325. IS at 32s 3d, 2.7 lambs at 2!s 9d. 9 at 21s Gil : 2 heifers ai. £7 10s. 1 cow at £S, 1 boiler ami L i gw at £6 10s. 1 cow and calf at E 3 As, •J bullocks at £0 15s, 1 vealer at £2. 1 store row at £2. 1 cow at £.3 15s. On account of Mr R. Adamson. 3 heifers at £3 6s Sd. 2 vealers at £4 2s. 1 bullock at £7 15s, 2 heifers at C 6 10s. 1 at £6 ; On account of Mr 11. M. Adamson 1 vealer at £1 2s. 4 bullocks at £« T's. At the above yards yesterday the usual sale of fat stock was hold, the yarding comprising 9s fat lambs and 55 head of cattle, the quality of which was all that could he desired. There was a representative attendance of hovers who restricted their competition lunch on a line with prices ruling elsewhere. The recent drop in beef at Addington made itself apparent at this fixture. On the whole the sale must he considered satisfactory. Sheep sold well. Messrs YY. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—Oil account Air Jno. McGregor, 30 fat ewes and wethers at 345. Oil account Mr ,J. G. Moharry, 24 fat ewes and wethers at 32s 6d, 16 at 31 s 9d, 12 lambs at 22s 3d. On account Mr N. Friend, 2 bullocks at C 9 7- lid, 2at £3 17s Od, 3 at C 8 ss, 1 at £8 2s Od, 2 at CS, 1 stag at CO 17- (id, 2 heifers at C 7 455, 4at CO 17s (Id. 2 at CO 15s, 1 at C 5 15s.
