Air Jarrell in .seconding the motion, protested against the attempit to make party capital out of the question. This remark elicited angry exelnma lions from the Labour benches, o Mr Baldwin .said that he was satisfied there was no general desire for an - immediate inquiry. Mr MacDonald expressed the Labour Party’s satisfaction at Mr Baldwin’s announcement. Air Millar withdrew his motion on the Government's assurance that they -._„vould refer the question to the existing oornniitto on .salaries.
