AND AIR JULIAN GRANDE. [by telegraph —per press association.j DUNEDIN. April 10. Exception bar* been taken by Air T. E. Y. .Sodden, at Christchurch, to Air Julian Grande's criticism, that the West Coast was the most depressing, neglected and ditty looking place he find seen in New Zealand. Air Grande, in reply, stated that it was not his intention to belittle the Coast, the object of his comment being lather to arouse the inhabitants to the possibilities contained in their beautiful surroundings. The Cua-t. has a beauty of its own and no doubt the Anhui's Bass tunnel will bring tbc Coa-t into touch wuth the rest i f New' Zealand. An impiovement was wanted in houses and aoeummodatimi houses. All that was wanted was a few good hotels and there was no reason why the (.not should not become the pla.v----n-, omul of tin.. South Island.
