Williamson, ’.'.ill present at the Princes-, Theatre, Cosmo Hamilton's daring comedy "''Talldal.” This play is hooked for one night only. "Scandal ’ which is in three parts, H m,. pleasantly shocking tale ol what hap, pens to a spoilt voting girl, who disregarded convention in order to save herself I rum a compromising sit nation. Men trice \ aiiderdvke. the girl, announces to her relations that she is wedded to Pelham Franklin, a sportsman and big game hunter. Franklin allows her tale to go bv unchallenged, but later regretting the moed. demands that she either legalises their lie or live up to it. She refuses io do either with the result flint Franklin engages in caveman tactics. Then when they seem to he 1 skating on ice, the author brings inlo play, liis unusual sense ol humour and saves them from what appears to he a black situation. As in all pVopor novels, the two principal characters

Doris Duane, who has had a remarkably siiceessfiil <nreer carries the role o! Beatrice Vnnderdyke. Eric Harrison, I he matinee idol of the play, is the Pelham Franklin of the story. Others in the cast are such favourites as Charles .Morse, Harold Moran, .lohn Galway, Graham Newton, Arthur Ellis, Lucy Cartel’, .Mary .MacGregor, and Clill'ord .Miller.
