Policemen are now accompanying the strikers. One farmer declined to withdraw his labourers, liiitl he offered to settle the argument with any single striker by fisticuffs, declaring that he was willing to hack himsell at 20 to one. When his challenge was not accepted. he placed a five pound note ill a box which tnc men carried for the relief of the children. The strikers then withdrew.
