WEDDING BELLS.

A very quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at All Saints’ Church at X.Io a.in. on Faster Monday at Hokitika. The contracting parties were Aliss Martha Roberts, daughter of the late Airs Roberts of Hokitika, and Mr Thomas Long, formerly ol Port Chalmers. The bride who entered the church mi the arm of her youngest brother, Roy, looked charming in a simple coat-frock with Oriental trimming and hat of kingfisher blue and fawn to match tlie frock, and finished with osprey, wearing shoes and stockings to match. Her neicc, Aliss Avis Morgan of Nelson, acted a- bridesmaid, wearing a sweet frock ol blue with side panels embroidered, and wearing -mart hat and slices to match. The " bride and birdesmaid carried prett v bouquet-, ot delicate hot-house flower, ami maiden hair fern. Air Wilfred Long (brother of the bridegroom' from Port Chalmers, carried out tiie duties ol best man. Messrs Joseph and Richard Roberts (brothers of the bride) were also present. The bridegroom's gift to the luidc was, a

travelling companion and ring. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a waldi chain, 'ihe bridegroom's presen! to the bridesmaid was a wristlet watch. The bride received numerous presents, the wedding cake being the gift of Mr Tlarkor of Hreymotuli. The happy couple left by car amidst showers of confetti, for Akaroa, via Christchurch, where they intend spending their hoiieviuoon.
