A member of the deputation said ir the license was given, and damages was done, the Government would he a parly to the undertaking, and should share the responsibility for the damage. The Minister replied that whatever j he did, he would see that the Grown - —in other words, the people--would not I e responsible. Those who undertook the operations must take all tlie responsibility for the damage.
