AUSTRALIAN AND V.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. REPATRIATIONS RECOVERY ACT. (Received this dayint 1.3(1 p.m.) LONDON. March 27. In the House ef Commons. Captain AYedgwood Penn moved the suspension of the German Reparations Recovery Act of 1921. on the ground that- the amount collected was small, the inconvenience it. caused to British traders, and on account of tlie situation in the Ruhr. ■Rt Hon S. Baldwin replied that there hud been remarkably few complaints regarding the working of the Act wliieh yielded .t*7.000,000 since April and altogether £11.000,000. There was no sign hitherto, of any falling off in trade with Germany. The motion was rejected.
