SAFE OF AIANT SCRIPT. LONDON, March 21 The Australian Commonwealth has purchased the Captain Cook manuscripts relating to Australia, which were auctioned lor LGySO. There was an element of uncertainty about the sale, owing to the presence of Mi Roselihach, a famous American hook buyer, who recently caused a sensation in London by spending £75,000 in one week on rare hooks. Mr Roselihach, however, did not participate in the bidding for the Cook manuscript. Hie bidding began at £SOO, and finally' the lot was knocked down to Mr Ifould, representing Mitchell Library.
