“SQUIBS”- .MONDAY. On Monday night at the Princess Theatre, the -tar attraction is a compa 11 ion picture to ‘Alt’s Button” ami the “Hotter ’Ole”. This is the story of a London Flower-girl. aurl is full of the rarest and quaintest Cockney humour. Some of her retorts are the last word in complete surprise and whimsical pertnoss. Betty Baljfonr who plays the heroine is a real discovery. and is simply Squibs herself. The east is wonderful—firstly, there is Much Wright. who was “AH’” in the “Better ’Ole”. Then there is Fred Groves who will he remembered for his wonderful performance as the Manxman in Ball Caine’s great play. Then there is Ambrose Manning as the handsome slum Lothario who is completely baffled by the tart tongue and unexpected devices of Squibs. There is no criticism to offer about “Squibs”, it is just a ease of perfection. The supports include a Pa the Gazette. a mermaid comedy “Bolling Stones” featuring Lloyd Hamilton, and a X.Z.
