INANGAHUA JUNCTION SALE YARDS.
Messrs McMahon and Lee’s usual sale fixture, at these Yards was held last Monday. The entries comprised 27 prime l'at cattle, from Maruia district, five locals and -I mixed store cattle; also 18b fat sheep, 72 store wethers, SMS .breeding ewes, 113 and forward lambs and 13 rams. The attendance of butchers "as smaller than usual which was due to the fact that the bulk of their requirements were filled with local supplies of beef ami mutton. Competition for fat cattle was veiy slack anil sales were hard to make, but fat sheep sold well. Store ewes, on the other hand did not sell readily although buyers were in evidence hut they did not appear to be disposed to pay the high figures ruling a month ago. All the cattle yarded were cleared (except five) ; also all the fat sheep, but only about hall the yarding of store sheep changed hands. No lambs wore sold. The following sales r\eie made: —

Fat Sheep.—One hundred and one at 31s. si 30s. 70 breeding ewes 25s (id, r.(i 2bs lid. 11) 21s Pd. P‘2 store wethers 21s lid. 10 rams 20s. three 17s, six store sheep I 7s. The next sale at these Yards will take place on Monday. April oth.
