Some Irregulars raided Charlestown, County Mayo, wrecking most the shops. On Free State troops arriving, fighting ensued, wherein one Nationalist soldier and one rebel were killed, and three rebels were captured. LONDON. Mardi 17. Keiimas O' Donovan, Rebel Director of Chemicals, was captured in Dublin. He has been engaged smuggling explosives from England. The theatres and cinemas in Dublin were closed in conformity with Do Valera’s pnx lomation, but the Government ordered their reopening, and the cinemas complied. With armed guards the theatres will open to-night. Whilst searching a steamer from Antwerp, special Thames police found and seized a number of revolvers and ammunition destined for Trclaid.
